I couldn't be more delighted that I chose the right place to do my access course. I signed up to two different providers for different courses at the same time, and whilst they were still filling out paperwork, I was halfway through my course with AOLL. I found the learning site very easy to navigate. The tutor's responses, marking, and feedback on assessments were super quick, helpful, and knowledgeable, leading me to remain engaged and complete my course faster than I would have done. A HE course involves ALOT of self-study and is incredibly demanding, requiring a lot of self-discipline, but it is really worth it, and I gained all 5 offers from the university choices I picked; I would add that I think the excellent reference I received from AOLL played a part in that. They are a great team and I would highly recommend them.

AOLL have been a great support during and after my access course. I had a range of tutors who all catered towards their expertise, and received outstanding overall and pastoral support from their quality manager. I recommend to utilise the VLE portal as there is a wide-range of resources to see you through your time with them.

The access to the course was easy and simple to use the virtual learning area. The tutors where on hand with messages and if needs be phone calls. I enjoyed the course and it was good that the course could be paused as I needed as life changed and things made it that I couldnt continue the course at times. This is very useful being military expecial when deployments come around the course can be paused until the end of the deployment.

Whilst generally I did quite well, I have done a distance learning course before so am already familiar with self-taught assignments. Two of my tutors were very helpful, however unfortunately one of them wasn't which made me feel a bit lost during the assignments I had with them.

My experience was great. I had very helpful tutors. Whenever I had a big gap between assignment submissions due to various problems, I was always asked if everything is okay or if I need any support .Feedback was constructive and I received a quick response whenever needed.

AOL have been so supportive when it comes to helping me pursue my dream career and attend university. My tutors Barinu and Jessica were lovely and helpful, but were not pushy at all when it came to submitting work. They reciprocated the same energy when it came to communication which I highly appreciated as a busy full time dental nurse. Their submission feedback was always thorough and their encouragement and praise always pushed me to do better. Amy, the manager, has also been a sweetheart to speak with regarding anything.

At one point I lost hope and thought I would have to settle with my job and feel un-challenged for a long time, but AOL has pushed me to pursue my dreams. Thank You :)

Access to higher education course is perfect for those who want to get into university. All the subjects studied are tailored to required course at university. The support is great, tutors are amazing, you can text anytime and they will respond very promptly. Very happy with my experience!

Highly recommend AOLL. The course content was tailored towards the degree course that I needed. Each module was really interesting. You work through the course at your own pace giving you the time scales to work independently to work round your lifestyle. Tutors respond within hours and work has always been marked within days.
Their support with UCAS was amazing, making sure your personal statement filled all the requirements and submitted early enough to secure those early interviews!

My experience with AOLL has been nothing short of fantastic. The course is pretty tough but the tutors are incredibly supportive from the feedback on coursework that they mark very quickly, to support telephone calls when you are stuck on a unit. I'm so thankful for their support. Alongside everything else, they provide support with your UCAS application and provide a reference. Tutors were very helpful and all staff really great and understand during some home difficulties I had during my studies. Really enjoyed the source material, lots was made interesting. Only downside I would perhaps suggest is I found it very chemistry heavy, it would be interesting to have some more varied subject matter - e.g. More haematology/coagulation based learning such as clotting cascade.

I highly recommend studying with AOLL. I have learnt so much and received fantastic support from my tutors and other members of the AOLL team. I will advise though that although flexible with being able to study at your own pace it is important to be organised and manage your time effectively to meet deadlines. The end result is definitely worth it and you will feel super prepared for your journey at University! Go for it and good luck! xx

I would definitely recommend this noble institution for anyone who wants to do an access course and having to balance it with work and family life. I had the best support ever from my tutors, to the academic staff, the technical staff. They all have been amazing. I learnt alot from my tutors. My academic writing have been greatly improved. I got four offers to university and my firm offer gave me that unconditional offer. Academy Online Learning is the place to study. I am so overwhelmed. Janice another happy student.

I was apprehensive about distance learning but I soon found out there was nothing to worry about.

My tutors were extremely supportive and I knew they would get back to me quickly should I have needed clarification or help.

The course has been planned out very well and I actually enjoyed completing the assignments.

Overall the course was very good, the tutors were really informative and provided plenty of help. The only negative I would give is that you don't get a lot of time to learn about each subject before you start the assignments, which can make completing each assignment a bit more difficult.
