Access to Business Course Options

Choose the Business route that fits your degree goal
Academy Online Learning offers more than one course that can lead to the formal Access to Higher Education Diploma (Business). Access to Business Studies is the broad, learner-facing route for people preparing for business, management and related degrees. Other Business routes may put a different emphasis on a particular subject or career interest.
Keep the formal qualification title in view when researching: universities assess their own entry requirements and may look for a particular credit profile or unit themes, not just a course-route name. Start with the degree you want to study, then choose the Access route and units that best match its published requirements.
Access to Business Studies
Access to Business Studies online is a flexible, tutor-supported route with 45 graded Business credits and 15 ungraded credits. It is assessed by assignments rather than exams and can provide academic preparation for applications to business, management and related degrees.
Other Business routes
Academy Online Learning also has Business-focused routes for learners whose interests include management, marketing, business analytics, entrepreneurship and innovation, accounting and finance, economics, human resources, events, law or communication. These routes remain separate choices: selecting one should be based on the university degree requirements and the subject areas you want to develop, rather than on an assumption that one route is automatically better than another.
Do not change course simply because a route name sounds closer to your intended degree. Compare the current unit information and your university’s Access requirements first. Where a requirement is unclear, ask the admissions team a concise question about the qualification title, units or grade profile concerned.
