Join our tutor team
Due to expansion, we are currently looking for Biology, Social Science, Business Studies, English, and Maths tutors to join Academy Online Learning.
Essential requirements
- Educated to degree level or above in a relevant subject specialism
- Teaching qualification (for example PGCE or equivalent)
- Relevant teaching experience in subject specialism
- Experience using virtual learning environments
Desirable
- Experience in online learning
- Experience tutoring online
- Experience developing online learning resources
The role
- Work from home
- Support learners through the induction process
- Support learners using subject specialist knowledge and experience
- Respond to learners in a timely and professional manner
- Support learners' UCAS applications and provide academic references
- Monitor learners' progress and encourage engagement
- Mark assignments in accordance with QAA and AVA guidelines and regulations
- Take part in online moderation and standardisation events
- Maintain records of learner progress and achievement
- Communicate with learners using telephone, messaging, and videoconferencing
- Attend virtual staff meetings
