Here at Academy Online Learning we offer you the chance to study Functional Skills in Maths and English, or GCSEs in Maths, English and Human Biology. But what is the difference?
Firstly, you do not require either the Maths and English to start a diploma with Academy Online Learning in Health Science Professions or Business Studies.
Secondly, it is important to point out that you must have at least Maths and English at Level 2 to apply to university in the UK. When enquiring check what the entry requirements are for your chosen university course. GCSEs and the Functional Skills that we offer are Level 2.
Functional Skills
Functional skills are the basis for any future study, further qualifications, and work opportunities. We can offer this fully online qualification to study from the comfort of your own home. This includes taking the online exam.
This flexible way of achieving a recognised alternative to GCSE Maths and English allows exams and resits to be taken throughout the year.

GCSEs
At Academy Online Learning we offer GCSEs in Mathematics (either the Edexcel or the Cambridge syllabus), English and Human Biology. All courses cost £275 (monthly instalment plans from £45 a month for 6 months). We provide the tutoring and online learning materials but you will have to find an exam centre to sit the exam.
