QAA-recognised Access to HE Diploma
The Access to HE Diploma is a nationally-recognised Level 3 qualification. To use the title “Access to HE”, a course must be recognised under the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) Recognition Scheme.
Academy Online Learning’s Access to HE courses lead to a Diploma awarded through Skills and Education Group Access, a QAA-licensed Access Validating Agency.

Q: Do I need previous Biology qualifications?
A: AOLL does not require previous Biology qualifications to begin the diploma. The learning materials develop Level 3 scientific knowledge progressively. Students should be prepared to learn scientific terminology, interpret evidence and explain biological processes in written assignments.
Q: Can Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy students receive NHS funding?
A: Eligible students studying approved pre-registration Dental Hygiene or Dental Therapy courses at Levels 5 or 6 in England may apply for support through the NHS Learning Support Fund. This currently includes a non-means-tested Training Grant of £5,000 per academic year, subject to eligibility.
This funding applies during eligible professional training and does not fund the Access to HE Diploma itself.

Q: What computer equipment and software will I need?
A: You will need a reliable laptop or desktop computer with an internet connection. A current web browser and word-processing software will also be required to access course materials, conduct research and complete and upload assignments.
